This is a collection of pictures of some of my favorite buildings in the world. A few of these buildings are one's that I do not know outside of the picture, but most I am familiar with. To be fair, I haven't seen the grand majority of these in person, and even though I have been to New York it was unfortunately before I fell in love with architecture (especially art deco). I have seen Cincinnati's Union Terminal in person, however, and I can attest to it's magnificence with my own experiences. You should be able to get a good feel for my personal aesthetics through seeing what kind of architecture I tend to hold special. For example, the most obvious of my preferences is for symmetry in architecture (but that doesn't mean that I think that asymmetrical buildings are bad). I also have an innate love of geometric patterns, which underlies my infatuation with the art deco movement. Another thing that I love in architecture is the relationship between man-made buildings and the natural environment. I tend to love buildings that incorporate natural themes such as animals and plants into their decorations. Another architectural element that I really enjoy is when architects incorporate a representation of a building's function into the design somehow.
